Hiking and Nature

Trails, Parks, and Hill Country Skies

Old Baldy is the signature hike. A short climb to the top gives you a full panorama of the Wimberley Valley. It is 15 minutes from Wayside and worth every step. For an easier walk, the trails at Blue Hole Regional Park wind along Cypress Creek under old-growth cypress trees. In spring the wildflowers cover the roadsides on every drive through the Hill Country. At night, there is almost no light pollution. The stars from your porch at Wayside are the real show.
